Illumine Helmet
Epic Armoury’s Illumine Helmet is a style of helmet inspired by the elven warriors of fantasy. Designed to protect the head during combat, the Illumine Helmet is sleek and elegant, as well as functional. The helmet covers the head, neck, and most of the face thanks to a fanned nasal guard, while still offering clear vision through the helmet’s Y-shaped visor. Overlapping welded plates along the neck also provide some flexibility to turn and look your enemies in the eye. Enjoy this easy to wear design, demanding attention on the battlefield with such details as the pointed crest and curved lines.
Similar to the popular Barbuta helmet, this high-fantasy armor is secured by tightening the leather strap beneath the chin, keeping the helmet in place. Made of 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armor piece is finished with a brass coating that gives it a particularly regal appearance. With regular leather and metal armor care, it will last for many seasons.
- Available in sizes S/M and L/XL
- This helmet comes with a leather fitting and a loose foam band for internal adjusting.
INSPIRATION
- Designed with a rounded shape to disperse the force of attacks on a chaotic battlefield
- Similar to a Barbuta, which has been popularized as a high elf style
- Plate armor became more popular as firearm technology became more prevalent during the 13th century
